KBYN MENTORSHIP LAUNCH

KBYN Launched its mentorship program on 12th of April with the objective of providing a platform for mentors and mentees to meet and interact. Over 37 mentees and 11 mentors attended the function.
Our guest speaker, Wakonyo Igeria a student in our current class and also a Trustee of the Grow House Foundation did an excellent job explaining the roles of a mentor, pitfalls in mentoring and the benefits of being mentored. The occasion was crowned with Mercy Ng’eno the initiator of KBYN and also a mentee of our very own Anne Mugofwa testifying of how being mentored has enabled her to grow and achieve her dreams.
In future we plan to have monthly group mentoring sessions by different mentors who will address pertinent issues in career and also key authorities in various fields who will categorically address on various topics concerning the youth. Where applicable there will be one-on-one mentoring.
