Hi Everyone,

The date is finally here! I had asked you to reserve this Saturday, 4^th of September 2010, for our monthly KBYN training, and it is here. I know that many of you are eager and waiting to know what we will be covering then.

I have good news!

For the next four trainings, we will be looking at the aspect of making money – one of the major reasons we go to school for many years, search for jobs, start businesses and engage in many other noble ventures to raise money. Many of us, without this medium of exchange, do not have peace in our lives. Come and learn about the whole aspect of work and how to engage in money-making activities.

This Saturday, we will be learning on the whole aspect of WORK and demystifying it. This training, similarly to all the others that you have attended this year, will be a very inspiring and practical session. Our facilitator is a seasoned entrepreneur who runs a business throughout East Africa.

Spread this word round to all your friends who you know will benefit from this training.

KBYN Training- 27th February

On 27th February 2010, the youth network will begin the follow-up classes to the January training. The next training will focus on the individual. What are the gifts, talents, passions, interests that God has placed in us? How do we discover them? How do these things tie up with ou dominion mandate?

Theme: Looking Inward

Venue: Kingdom Business Network

Time: 08:00 am - 12:30 pm

Charges: Kshs. 200 (Kindly make arrangements to pay by Friday, 4 pm)

Who is eligible? KBYN Class of 2010 and 2009, and also any other interested youth who have just cleared High School or are in (or just cleared) college.

We will be having a seasoned speaker who will be doing the training. Come prepared to learn and discover alot about yourself. Carry your bible, a notebook and pen with you.

Lukenya Retreat

KBN class of 2009 together with our allumni had a three day prayer and fasting graduation retreat at Lukenya Getaway on 3rd to 5th July. Our guest speaker was Pastor Chigbo Ndukwe from Jordan Ministeries, Nigeria.We had an awesome time in God’s presence and our lives will never be the same again.

Allumni meetings and Block Classes

We continue to thank God for the three years he has used us to impact lives and be a living testimony in society.Our class of 2008 graduated in a colorful ceremony on 5th July with Eric Kimani as our guest speaker.

We will be starting our allumni meetings on 18th August and we wiil having presentaions from various members of our allumni group sharing the different ways God is using them.

Our block classes will be on 6th and 13th of September from 8am to 12noon.Charges are Kshs 5,000.

KBYN MENTORSHIP LAUNCH

KBYN Launched its mentorship program on 12th of April with the objective of providing a platform for mentors and mentees to meet and interact. Over 37 mentees and 11 mentors attended the function.
Our guest speaker, Wakonyo Igeria a student in our current class and also a Trustee of the Grow House Foundation did an excellent job explaining the roles of a mentor, pitfalls in mentoring and the benefits of being mentored. The occasion was crowned with Mercy Ng’eno the initiator of KBYN and also a mentee of our very own Anne Mugofwa testifying of how being mentored has enabled her to grow and achieve her dreams.
In future we plan to have monthly group mentoring sessions by different mentors who will address pertinent issues in career and also key authorities in various fields who will categorically address on various topics concerning the youth. Where applicable there will be one-on-one mentoring.
